Sacramento Events’ Success-Driven Culture
Giving back and caring about our community is only a small part of the endless support from Sacramento Events. Through our mission guiding principle of philanthropy, we believe that the best way to help our community grow is through hand-on volunteering work. We are proud to be community leaders.
NCADD is a national non-profit organization whose mission is to provide intervention, prevention, and treatment services to families affected by drug and alcohol addiction. This past holiday season, Sacramento Events put together a toy drive to benefit the children of NCADD’s programs. Together, we collected over 50 new and slightly used toys and delivered them just in time for Santa’s arrival. We look forward to many more holidays with NCADD Sacramento.
Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation
The objective of Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation is to raise money and awareness of childhood cancer causes, primarily for research into new treatments and cures. Sacramento Events, along with the help of many community members, were able to launch an ongoing fundraiser to raise money and educate others. “I am happy to volunteer my time and money to support such a wonderful foundation. My baby cousin was diagnosed with leukemia at 8 months old, and our family has been determined to find a cure. Being able to give back to families who are going through the same as mine really motivates me to make a difference in the world,” says one volunteer. Sacramento Events will be taking monetary donations year-round to continue its support of the foundation.
Loaves & Fishes
Loaves and Fishes is a private charity whose goal is to provide shelter to the homeless and food for the hungry. During the holiday season, Loaves and Fishes Sacramento sees an increase in need for their services. They request toiletry and hygiene donations from the public in order to accommodate their new intakes and ensure their comfortability. In December, Sacramento Events hosted a donation drive to collect toothbrushes, razors, hand sanitizer, etc. and decorated holiday stockings to give to Loaves and Fishes. “My favorite part was handing out the stockings and working in the kitchen. There are so many people in need right in our own backyard, so I am glad I was able to make time to help,” said Sacramento Events Marketing Rep Joanna. “It makes me feel good.”
